About Mark

england south africa cricket odi st georges park portHello and welcome, I’m Mark Ford, a former U.K. solicitor turned successful entrepreneur with a global internet business. One of my greatest passions is cricket and in my view the best cricket side in the world is England. I am in the privileged position that my global business allows me to travel the world following the English cricket team.

I was born in the shadow of the Cadbury’s chocolate factory in Bournville, Birmingham, having been educated there as well. At secondary school, I was privileged to play for the first XI and was a handy opening batsman. On completing school I was the first choice opening batsman for Bournville cricket club but chose to pursue a career in law. However my passion for cricket never really diminished and I am a passionate fan of the game.

Having a global internet business has given me the freedom to indulge my travel bug and I have been able to travel to many different destinations around the world for business and of course to watch England play. Meeting people from different countries and exploring their countries is very interesting to me. I also enjoy eating the foods from the different regions and being in the country where they originate from is very enjoyable. Hailing from the United Kingdom I also enjoy the odd beer and so I must say discovering the local brew is quite an adventure.

I have a brother and sister living in the U.K. Unfortunately I am divorced, but I have a son who has grown into a strapping lad and lives in the U.K. with his girlfriend. After becoming an entrepreneur I am in the position where I have a home in Cyprus and the United Kingdom. When I am not traveling the world I commute between the U.K. and Cyprus.

So follow me on my cricket tours or even better yet why not join me?
